Job Title:

Exercise Physiologist

Develop your skills and work in a dynamic team to deliver exercise physiology services to oncology outpatients.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a multidisciplinary Exercise Oncology Team, delivering independent and group-based evidence-informed exercise physiology services for individuals with cancer undergoing cancer treatment.

You will provide patient services, consulting to staff, and support the work of the Wellness and Supportive Care program. Regular tasks include delivering comprehensive education and guidance to patients on managing their health conditions, actively engaging them and their caregivers in the decision-making process.

Key responsibilities include encouraging patients to take an active role in their own care while making health education a key focus of every interaction, receiving and supporting referral and triage activities with support from senior exercise oncology team staff.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Exercise & Sports Science and a Master's Degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology
  • Current accreditation with Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA)
  • Recent graduate or at least six months of work/clinical experience as an Accredited Exercise scientist or Accredited Exercise Physiologist
  • Interest in Oncology and/or exercise prescription for individuals with chronic disease
  • Interest in professional development and ongoing clinical supervision
