About the RoleThis is an exceptional opportunity to join our team as the Head of Primary, playing an integral role in shaping the culture of the Primary Years. As a leader in education, you will inspire young learners, guide staff, and contribute to achieving excellence in learning, wellbeing, and personal growth.
Your Responsibilities- Lead and oversee all aspects of the Primary School, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning outcomes
- Inspire and manage Primary staff, setting direction, mentoring, and empowering them to achieve their best
- Monitor and report on academic performance across the Primary Years, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to enhance student outcomes
- Foster strong student leadership and Outdoor Education programs, promoting a love of learning and community spirit
- Oversee seamless transitions from Primary into Secondary, ensuring students receive a comprehensive education that prepares them for future success
- Support boarding families, providing guidance and resources to ensure the wellbeing and happiness of students
- Take an active role in school events, including sports and performing arts, demonstrating your passion for education and commitment to the school community
- A clear educational vision and proven leadership experience within a Primary setting
- Current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers
- A deep understanding of contemporary curriculum, pedagogy, and pastoral care practices
- Experience in Early Childhood education and compliance with national standards and regulations
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage people, priorities, and projects effectively
- A collaborative leadership style that inspires staff, engages students, and builds meaningful partnerships with families
