We are currently seeking a passionate and qualified educator for a leadership position: Learning Area Leader - Vocational Major

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the VCE Vocational Major curriculum, ensuring it aligns with the college's goals, vision, and innovation.
  • Advise students and families on VCE VM program suitability, consulting with key staff including Head of Careers, Head of Senior Learning, and Head of Senior Wellbeing.
  • Collaborate with external agencies to build partnerships enhancing student pathways, community connections, and learning outcomes.
  • Lead and participate in Information Evenings and external partnerships, including the Peninsula VCE VM Association and PVET network.
  • Foster teamwork, supporting professional growth and ongoing improvement in teaching and learning.
  • Ensure compliance with Victorian Curriculum and reporting procedures, embedding cross-curriculum priorities like Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and cultures.
  • Analyse student performance data to support differentiated teaching and track progression of learning.
  • Contribute to developing and overseeing student learning programs, supporting staff in achieving the best possible outcomes for students.

Requirements:

  • VIT Registration.
  • Proven experience in leading curriculum development and innovation.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
  • Commitment to supporting the educational and personal development of staff and students.
