Geotechnical Expertise Sought for Infrastructure Projects

We are seeking a highly experienced Geotechnical Expert to join our team in Queensland.

This role will focus on delivering geotechnical expertise across key projects in Australia, providing internal support services globally. You will work on tunnelling, foundations, retaining structures, slopes, and civil infrastructure projects, preparing specifications and reports, conducting site inspections, and managing client interfaces on progressively larger and more complex projects.

  • Undertake and deliver geological and geotechnical investigations to inform the design and construction of major infrastructure projects
  • Develop ground models in support of design
  • Provide specialist advice on ground conditions, risks, and solutions
  • Contribute to the preparation of high-quality geotechnical reports for clients across the private sector and government

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders, integrating geotechnical expertise into broader project delivery. Work on large-scale and high-profile civil infrastructure projects such as pumped hydro, water storage and transportation.

About You:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years (Senior) / 10 years (Principal) experience in geotechnical site investigation, geotechnical interpretation for civil infrastructure projects
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to interpret and model geological data effectively for infrastructure design and construction
  • Proficiency in geotechnical investigation and interpretation software such as Open Ground, Leapfrog, GIS and CAD software
  • Solid knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations, for geotechnical investigations and laboratory testing
