Directorate Management Position

The Directorate Management role plays a pivotal part in leading and managing a small team within the office. This team provides oversight across various functions, including briefing coordination and support, strategic advice, budget coordination, and internal divisional organisational support.

This position supports the four areas and two branches within the division by ensuring constant and consistent communication both written and verbal to each area/branch on matters pertaining to individual areas/branches and across the division.

The Manager will support the Deputy Secretary in managing the business of the division, acting on behalf of the Deputy Secretary to ensure effective operations and accountability of the division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategically design and develop the delivery of departmental objectives that impact significant localised service delivery and meet statewide departmental and government objectives and community expectations.
  • Maintain an understanding of issues impacting the department's clients and investigate and lead critical projects that develop and review policies, professional standards and operating practices that enhance service delivery, efficiency and improved client outcomes.
  • Foster strong connections across the department and with external stakeholders to facilitate a partnership approach.

Vaccination Requirements: The department may require its employees to be fully vaccinated against preventable diseases such as COVID-19.
