About this Role

We are seeking a driven Commercial Insights Specialist to join our team in North Ryde. You will be working in a collaborative environment and reporting directly into the Finance Director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform weekly financial close and analysis of results as required by audit standards.
  • Analyse performance and provide actionable insights on actual vs budget and forecast metrics.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of operational performance and identify areas for improvement using historical, forecasting, and trend analysis methods.
  • Support internal stakeholders in developing budgets and forecasts.
  • Monitor and maintain site standards to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Review balance sheet accounts to guarantee the accuracy of financial records.
  • Pursue ongoing improvements to streamline processes.
  • Assist in preparing capital expenditure reports.
  • Provide ad-hoc financial support to relevant projects.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Certified accountant or near completion of certification.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a manufacturing background is essential.
  • Proven ability to build effective business relationships.
  • Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, and technology skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and complex business environment.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • A self-starter with a high level of motivation, taking ownership and seeking opportunities to add value.
  • An analytical and critical thinker, particularly in problem-solving contexts.
