We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Communications and Education to lead our national education and communication strategies and initiatives.
The successful candidate will drive the Agency's statutory function to support improvements in work health and safety outcomes and workers' compensation arrangements across Australia.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with business areas and the Executive to plan, execute, and achieve internal and external communication objectives.
- Lead a team to develop and present innovative communication material, including graphic materials, publications, and social media content.
- Provide strategic media advice to the Executive, understanding media and media-related issues.
- Manage continuous improvement and work to maximise the effectiveness of education and communication strategies by evaluating their strategic value and outcomes.
- Develop and maintain positive stakeholder relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead and set the strategic direction and work practices for a small team of multidisciplinary skilled communication professionals.

Safe Work Australia is a tripartite body with members representing the Commonwealth, states and territories, workers, employers, and the Chief Executive Officer.
We were established by the Safe Work Australia Act 2008 to lead the development of policy to improve work health and safety and workers' compensation arrangements across Australia.
