Job Title: Senior Director Strategic Infrastructure and Sustainability

The ACT Government is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Director to lead the Strategic Infrastructure and Sustainability section within the Asset Management and Delivery Branch of the Education Directorate.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies and policies to ensure that the Education Directorate's building and infrastructure assets are constructed and maintained to provide agreed levels of service, at an acceptable level of risk and at the most sustainable cost.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain the Education Directorate's strategic asset management plan and framework
  • Develop and implement environmental sustainability strategies
  • Lead a team of professionals in the development and implementation of infrastructure and sustainability initiatives
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with the ACT Government's strategic objectives
  • Provide expert advice on infrastructure and sustainability matters to the Education Directorate and other ACT Government agencies
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant professional qualification in Engineering, Architecture or Project Management, or accreditation with a professional body recognised within Australia
  • Significant experience in strategic asset management, infrastructure and sustainability, or a related field
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and achieve deadlines
