Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead cross-functional design engineering teams to maintain a safe, compliant, and reliable fleet
  • Optimize and realize benefits from asset upgrade projects
  • Manage and lead technical teams in design, build, and maintenance
  • Develop and implement engineering processes and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives and goals

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in managing heavy rail passenger fleets
  • Experience managing cross-functional technical teams in design, build, and maintenance
  • Ability to manage and optimize asset upgrade projects
  • Expert knowledge and understanding of rolling stock electrical and mechanical systems
  • Knowledge of relevant Australian and international rolling stock standards and engineering processes
  • Knowledge of asset management, maintenance optimization, and Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM)
