Shift Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shift Technician to join our team at CBRE. As a Shift Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data center facilities, including maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine planned preventative maintenance tasks on electrical and mechanical systems, including feeders, transformers, generators, fuel systems, switchgear, UPS systems, battery banks, ATS/STS units, PDU/PMM units, air handling units, chilled water systems, fire alarm systems, and fire suppression systems.
- Monitor building management systems (BMS) for running and alarm conditions, and investigate faults, identify root causes, and effect remedies.
- Prepare accurate and timely service/incident reports, and ensure corrective/repair works are carried out in accordance with current regulations.
- Assist with equipment installation works and asset data capture, and participate in emergency call-out rosters as required.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the building(s) infrastructure and their layouts, functions, and complexities.
- Deliver effective communication through advice, review, leadership, and direct contribution to team meetings, briefings, correspondence, monthly and ad-hoc reporting, as appropriate.
- Must understand all associated safety code-related requirements relative to providing the service, with experience in Health & Safety Risk Assessments and Control Measures.
- Experience of maintaining critical & temperature control conditioned environments, with a detailed understanding and experience of electrical and mechanical systems used in a data center environment.
- Prior exposure to maintenance scheduling and subcontractor management and supervision, with a strong understanding of ticketing or workflow management systems and tools.
- NSW Electrical License or NSW HVAC/Refrigeration License is required, with good building services knowledge and customer relationship skills.
- Working knowledge of 'Permit to work' systems, and the ability to understand and interpret technical drawings/processes.
- Experience of CMMS and BMS systems, with the ability to manage escalation and emergency issues.
