Parks Asset Maintenance Coordinator

Role Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Parks Asset Maintenance Coordinator to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about maintaining and improving public parks and open spaces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate maintenance of hard infrastructure in parks and open spaces;
  • Oversee inspections, audits, and repairs of assets including playgrounds, pathways, lighting, and waterplay parks;
  • Collaborate on asset management plans and provide input on design development;
  • Manage contractors and consultants to ensure service delivery standards are met;
  • Promote a culture of safety, diversity, and continuous improvement;
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and Council policies;
  • Enhance digital capability and service delivery through technology.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or significant equivalent industry experience in the maintenance of hard infrastructure in parks and open space;
  • Experience leading and managing a customer-focused team;
  • Demonstrated financial and budget management, procurement, and contract management experience;
  • Experience in contract administration and contractor supervision;
  • Knowledge of equity and diversity principles, work health and safety, ethical practice, and probity at all times;
  • Understanding of or experience with the Australian Business Excellence framework or improvement initiatives/continuous improvement.

Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary package including:

  • $105,050.92 - $116,577.24 + Civil Liability Allowance (if applicable) + Access to Motor Vehicle Lease Back + 12% Superannuation;
