Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do.

We are seeking an individual to contribute to our ambitious Sustainability Strategy, with a primary focus area of environmental improvements, particularly in the energy (buildings) and transport space.

This position will conduct research and analysis into sustainability best practice and develop project cases and proposals to justify sustainability improvements.

The role involves preparing and delivering the Sustainability Implementation Plan, including the collection of knowledge, identification and justification of appropriate actions and undertaking project work to deliver sustainable outcomes across the city.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Undertaking research, consultation and analysis of a range of issues relevant to the growth and future of the organisation and sustainability best practice.
  • Developing a sustainability map, including establishing baseline data, undertaking necessary analytics, and providing high quality advice to influence decision making.
  • Preparing comprehensive reports for management on a range of sustainable development issues and projects.

This position will engage with internal stakeholders to embed sustainability into existing processes and procedures. It will also engage with external stakeholders, including other government bodies.
