A key requirement for this role is a qualification in Heavy or Light vehicle mechanics, as well as experience leading and coaching technicians.

You must also have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Additional requirements include a valid driver's license and experience with European, American, or Japanese truck brands.

**Job Description:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Workshop Controller to oversee the daily operations of our workshop, including scheduling and allocating work to technicians.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Scheduling and allocating work to technicians
  • Maintaining accurate records of all work carried out, including job cards and invoices
  • Monitoring the progress of each job, ensuring that it is completed on time and within budget
  • Liaising with service advisors to keep customers informed about the status of their vehicles

**Key Skills and Qualifications:**

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A qualification in Heavy or Light vehicle mechanics
  • Experience leading and coaching technicians
  • An understanding of safe work practices and confidence to promote a strong safety culture
  • A valid driver's license
  • Experience with European, American, or Japanese truck brands (not essential)
