Mental Health Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join our Casual Workforce Team. As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support and assistance to individuals with mental health needs in their own homes and community settings.
Key Responsibilities- Provide 1:1 and 2:1 support to consumers in their own home and community setting.
- Meet the individual needs according to an established behavioral support plan.
- Develop professional relationships with individuals, their families, and others in the community.
- Provide accurate and timely case notes so that others can provide a consistent experience for the individual.
- Provide support to assist consumers to work towards their individual goals.
- Prior experience and knowledge in supporting individuals with mental health needs, and managing challenging behaviors.
- Demonstrates patience, emotional resilience, effective listening skills, and adaptable communication techniques.
- Strong ability to advocate for others and develop sustainable support networks.
- Capable of making a positive impact both independently and as part of a team to achieve common goals.
- Resilient, with the ability to adapt to challenges and remain focused under pressure.
