Financial Controller Position Overview

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled Financial Controller to lead the administration team in our multi-franchised dealer located in Bundaberg, Queensland. The successful candidate will possess exceptional communication abilities, attention to detail, and leadership skills.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the planning, direction, and control of the Administration Department's activities.
  • Prepare day-to-day, month-end, and year-end accounting and management reports.
  • Ensure statutory returns are completed on time.
  • Maintain compliance oversight.
  • Develop a strategic approach to financial management, including cash flow forecasting and financial analysis.
  • Prepare reports for financiers, banks, and franchisors.
  • Manage supplier, creditor, and debtor relationships.
  • Mentor and train an efficient administration team.
  • Assist external accountants during annual audits and prepare annual accounts.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience as a Financial Controller or Senior Automotive Accountant in an automotive dealership environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement effective financial strategies.
  • Proven experience with financial software and systems.

Other Requirements:

The successful candidate will work closely with the senior management team and report directly to the Group Financial Controller. This is a long-term commitment requiring stability and reliability.
