About the Role
Job SummaryA senior financial leader is sought to join Santos Ltd in Brisbane, responsible for ensuring accurate joint venture financial reporting. This role reports to the Financial Controller - Development and Joint Ventures.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with operational teams to prepare joint venture budgets, forecasts, and management reports.
- Critically review and challenge financial information and analysis.
- Coordinate joint venture audit matters, including data provision and response to queries.
- Support the Financial Controller and Finance Manager through presentation preparation and meeting attendance.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders, researching and responding to finance-related queries.
- Review and distribute monthly financial statements and cash calls.
- Critically review AFE submissions against joint venture budgets.
- Lead projects to improve reporting systems and information flows.
This role requires an Accounting or Commerce degree, a professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA), and significant accounting experience. Knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting requirements, and Joint Ventures Accounting is essential. Proficiency in SAP and MS Office products, as well as bulk data analysis, is also required.
