Engineering Leadership Opportunity

Job Description
  • Lead the delivery of mechanical packages on complex projects, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
Responsibilities:
  1. Review and evaluate technical proposals from vendors to ensure alignment with project requirements.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, construction, and engineering disciplines, to coordinate efforts and ensure successful project outcomes.
  3. Develop and manage technical documentation, including scope of work, specifications, and other package requirements.
  4. Interfacing with stakeholders, internal and external, to negotiate and integrate contractor activities and consultants' inputs.
  5. Coordinate with clients to obtain approval on phase of work.
  6. Plan, develop, coordinate and review work within the mechanical discipline on the project.
  7. Supervise day-to-day technical work of mechanical engineers and designers within the team.
  8. Estimate staffing needs and schedules, assigning work to meet schedule dates.
  9. Monitor and track progress for the Mechanical team, reporting current status, future needs, and issues as they arise.
Requirements
  • Tertiary engineering qualifications in mechanical engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years industry experience, with at least 6 years in bulk materials handling.
  • Experience working on EPCM projects, with knowledge of brownfields and success in similar roles.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills, with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in an integrated engineering team environment.
