About the Role As a Senior Project Engineer at Wormall Civil, you will be the technical and commercial lead on-site, driving the successful delivery of civil construction projects.
Working in partnership with the Project Manager and Senior Site Supervisor, you will oversee engineering execution, contract administration, and project coordination to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
You'll guide and mentor engineers, lead problem-solving efforts, and ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards.

What your day will look like Lead and champion our positive safety culture ensuring an engaged project team who are empowered to call out and resolve all safety concerns.
Champion a learning culture in the project to drive our passion at Wormall Group for continual improvement Oversee daily coordination of engineering deliverables and ensure site alignment with program schedules.
Provide technical sign-off on construction methodologies and validate plans against project and compliance standards.
Lead and review subcontractor claims, variations, NODs, and EOTs.
Maintain detailed cost tracking and provide commercial input in line with project budgets.
Troubleshoot complex technical issues and liaise with consultants and internal teams to resolve them efficiently.
Guide and develop Project Engineers and Site Engineers, contributing to performance reviews and structured development.
Lead by example in fostering a safety-first culture and ensuring all works meet environmental and legislative requirements.
Represent Wormall Civil in meetings with clients, subcontractors, and external stakeholders.
Skillset needed Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline (required); qualifications in Project or Construction Management highly regarded.
At least 8–9 years of experience in civil construction, with proven site-based project delivery experience.
Deep technical knowledge across civil disciplines including roads, drainage, earthworks, and underground services.
Strong commercial acumen and experience with cost tracking, forecasting, and contract administration.
Skilled in leading teams, reviewing engineering deliverables, and mentoring junior staff.
Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, and construction/project management platforms.
WA Construction White Card and current C Class Driver's Licence (required).
First Aid Certificate and ISO systems familiarity (preferred).
Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships and influence across site and senior stakeholders.
