This role will see you enhance your capabilities and the reputation of WSP's Mining Capital Projects team. You will collaborate with talented professionals working on iconic projects to drive future ready outcomes that will benefit clients and communities.

As a Senior Project Engineer, you will contribute to the successful delivery and completion of a major mining project. This role will be Perth office-based for construction through to commissioning, but some site travel will be required during the project delivery.

What You'll Do

Work on the delivery of large-scale capital project for a Tier 1 Mining Client.
Oversee the successful delivery and completion of installation packages of work for bulk earthworks, concrete works, and grade separations.
Monitor progress of the work and performance against the project plan and when required, take action to resolve problems and minimise risks and delays.
Monitor and control cost performance against the plan and claims management, and develop and implement project controls, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates.
Ensure work undertaken complies with the scope and meets quality and operational requirements.
Obtain appropriate approvals for documentation including but not limited to calculations, specifications, and variations.
Supervise work and ensure it meets quality, cost and time constraints.
Develop project schedules, budgets and forecasts.
Monitor and identify risks to the project and drive implementations of appropriate controls and mitigations.

About You

You're likely to be an experienced Senior Project Engineer with previous experience working within mining and a demonstrated understanding of the delivery of installation packages of work.

In addition, you will bring the following skills and attributes :

Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering and 10+ years of experience in project engineering and management.
Demonstrated experience working within mining and previous bulk earthworks, concrete, grade separations and railway interface experience.
Strong background in developing and implementing schedules, cost estimates and coordination, and contractor claims management.
Proven project management skills and demonstrated ability to deliver work within the agreed budget, timeframe and client requirements.
