Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned finance leader to oversee the finance function for our client's local subsidiary during a period of organisation change and growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting & Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting under both Australian and US GAAP standards.
  • Financial Control: Manage all aspects of financial control, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a small local accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary finance liaison between the Australian subsidiary and the global finance team.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 7-10 years of corporate finance experience.
  • CPA, CA, or equivalent professional accounting qualifications.
  • Proven experience in managing finance functions across manufacturing, import, sales, and distribution operations as a subsidiary on a multi-national growth business.
  • Exposure to R&D accounting, inventory management, and revenue recognition specific to the biotechnology industry or a similar fast growth technology field.
