Job Overview

We are seeking an expert to partner with Commodities and Global Markets teams to manage Technology Risk effectively, aligned with Macquarie's Operational Risk Management Frameworks and policies.

This role involves working collaboratively with the Technology team and senior stakeholders to identify operational issues, advise on responses, and drive discussions around risk incident investigations.

Main Responsibilities
  • Partner with Commodities and Global Markets teams to ensure effective Technology Risk management.
  • Collaborate with the Technology team and senior stakeholders to identify operational issues and control breakdowns.
  • Conduct controls assurance reviews, risk workshops, technology risk-related training, and participate in ad hoc risk discussions as required.
  • Support tactical and strategic risk initiatives through thoughtful partnership.

You will use data analytics and process mining tools to automate control testing and drive a strong risk culture within the team. Your proactive approach will help clarify the risk framework within the team.

Requirements
  • Previous experience with operational risk management, assurance, or data analytics is essential.
  • Experience in process automation, coding, or analytics, particularly Alteryx/Power BI or SQL.
  • Ability to effectively challenge the business across global regions.
  • Strong analytical and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Practical understanding of implementing risk and control frameworks in highly regulated contexts.
