Job Title: Senior HR Business Partner

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to join our team as a Senior HR Business Partner. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to make a real impact in the field of human resources.

About the Role
  • This role will provide expert HR consultancy and advisory services to senior management and across the department, providing quality, consistent and timely advice on operational HR issues including recruitment, contract management, performance review and development, workforce planning and case management support.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide client-focussed expert advice and consultancy to senior executives and managers of designated business units/directorates on a wide range of complex HR management to support the achievement of business objectives.
  2. Management, mentoring, coaching and guidance is provided to team members and business groups on HR matters to facilitate informed decision making and resolution of complex people management issues, and to build capacity across the department.
  3. Innovative HR projects, policies, procedures and systems are developed, implemented, promoted and evaluated to achieve departmental workforce management objectives, public sector initiatives, continuous improvement practices and legislative compliance.
Requirements
  • SIGNIFICANT EXPERIENCE IN PROVIDING HR ADVISORY AND CONSULTANCY SERVICES ACROSS A RANGE OF MATTERS, INCLUDING ADVISING ON, INTERPRETING AND ADMINISTERING LEGISLATIVE AND POLICY REQUIREMENTS.
  • SIGNIFICANT EXPERIENCE IN GENERALIST HR FUNCTIONS INCLUDING CLASSIFICATION MANAGEMENT, PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT, DISCIPLINARY PROCESSES AND INVESTIGATIONS, PROJECTS, REPORT WRITING AND STRATEGIES.
  • PROVEN ABILITY TO RECOGNISE AND DEAL DISCREETLY WITH CONFIDENTIAL MATTERS, DEMONSTRATE INTEGRITY AND APPLY DIPLOMATIC SKILLS TO SENSITIVE AND HIGH-LEVEL PERSONNEL AND MANAGEMENT ISSUES.
  • HIGH LEVEL VERBAL AND WRITTEN COMMUNICATION SKILLS, INCLUDING CONSULTING, NEGOTIATION AND CONFLICT RESOLUTION SKILLS THAT ENABLE EFFECTIVE AND APPROPRIATE COMMUNICATION WITH A BROAD RANGE OF PEOPLE AT ALL LEVELS.
  • PROVEN ABILITY TO WORK UNDER LIMITED DIRECTION WITHIN A TEAM ENVIRONMENT, EXERCISE A HIGH LEVEL OF INITIATIVE AND JUDGEMENT IN SETTING PRIORITY TO ACHIEVE OBJECTIVES AND TO RESPOND POSITIVELY AND FLEXIBLY TO NEW IDEAS AND CHANGING ENVIRONMENTS.
