We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Compliance Specialist to join our team at Ignite, a reputable construction company with over 45 years of successful operations in Sydney.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum Cert. IV in workplace safety and have knowledge of HSEQ processes, as well as previous experience in a similar role. They will be responsible for ensuring safety, quality, and environmental compliance across all project sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting safety, quality, and environmental inspections to ensure consistent adherence to site setup procedures across all projects.
  • Assisting staff, site teams, and contractors in complying with relevant legislation, standards, and contractual arrangements.
  • Supporting the HSEQ Manager in delivering the Safety Management System, including policies, procedures, manuals, and practices.
  • Acting as a company representative for all WHS matters.
  • Proactively assisting work teams in implementing and embedding health and safety work plans.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of legislative changes and continuously reviewing and improving policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Minimum Cert. IV in workplace safety.
  • Knowledge of HSEQ processes and previous experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated commitment to health and safety.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced office environment.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Related industry experience, particularly in commercial and civil construction (highly desirable).
Estimated Salary: $95,000 - $115,000 per annum
