Job Title: Workplace Health & Safety Manager

The employer is seeking a highly experienced and qualified Workplace Health & Safety Manager to lead the development and implementation of effective WHS management systems.

This role is responsible for promoting a positive safety culture, managing risk, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.

The ideal candidate will have tertiary qualifications in WHS and significant experience in WHS management, preferably in an educational setting.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing, implementing, and reviewing WHS policies and procedures
  • Conducting regular workplace inspections and monitoring WHS performance
  • Providing guidance and support to staff on WHS matters
  • Investigating incidents and accidents, and implementing corrective actions
  • Collaborating with other stakeholders to achieve effective WHS outcomes

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • Tertiary qualifications in WHS
  • Significant experience in WHS management
  • Valid Working with Vulnerable People Registration
  • Understanding and experience in corporate governance, risk management, and compliance
