Automation Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Maintenance Specialist to join our team in Melbourne. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance on automated systems, diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults, and collaborating with operations teams to minimize downtime.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, including pneumatics, hydraulics, and drive systems, as well as basic electrical troubleshooting and PLC interface skills. They will also demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on automated systems, including destackers, AS/RS cranes, robots, and conveyor systems
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical faults, with basic PLC fault-finding and interface knowledge preferred
  • Collaborate with operations teams to minimize downtime and ensure smooth workflow
  • Maintain strict safety and hygiene standards in line with industry regulations
Requirements
  • A Grade Electrical License
  • Proven experience with automated systems and electromechanical maintenance
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, including pneumatics, hydraulics, and drive systems
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting and PLC interface skills (preferred)
