Project Lead

CQUniversity seeks a strategic and experienced Project Lead to lead a major campus development in the Cairns CBD. This is a critical role that requires management of the full project lifecycle, from planning and design through to construction and completion.

This position offers autonomy within a supportive and outcomes-focused team that values integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement.

  • Collaborative work with stakeholders including funding bodies, councils, consultants, and contractors to achieve project goals.
  • Solid understanding of project management frameworks, including scheduling, risk management, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills, with ability to prepare clear reports, submissions, and tenders, and negotiate effectively in complex environments.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience leading major infrastructure projects through all phases, from design and tendering to construction, commissioning, and completion.

They must possess strong knowledge of legislative requirements, including building codes, Australian Standards, and local regulations.
