Job Description:

As a Medium Rigid Truck Driver, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics. Your primary responsibility will be to safely operate a medium rigid MR vehicle, transporting goods to various locations while adhering to strict timeframes and quality standards.

  • You will be responsible for loading and unloading galley equipment onto the truck, as well as driving to aircraft and loading the equipment in a timely manner.
  • Liaising with customers and hand over delivery is an essential aspect of this role, requiring strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • In addition to performing driving duties, you will also be responsible for marshalling other Drivers on the tarmac to position the truck in line with company policies.
  • Performing basic serviceability and daily maintenance checks of vehicles and equipment, including refuelling, is crucial to ensure the longevity of our assets.
  • You will also be required to perform administrative duties, such as reporting and compiling reports and documents.
  • Any vehicle/plant defects must be reported promptly, following Company procedures.
  • The assembly, packing, and checking off completed flights at the kitchen production unit and on board the aircraft are also key responsibilities.
  • Following up any discrepancies and ensuring flights are correct is essential to maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Cleaning duties of aircraft galleys, vehicles, and cabin service areas are also part of this role.
  • Finally, you will play a buddy role to welcome new Workers, providing advice and guidance on the day-to-day aspects of working at the Company.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience as a truck driver is necessary for this role.
  • An MR/HR license is a must, along with the ability to communicate professionally and courteously.
  • You should be able to work without direct supervision, manage your own time effectively, and follow both verbal and written work instructions.
