Job Description

The role of an Exercise and Simulation Professional involves facilitating warfare training and command and control training for the military, as well as joint and combined forces.

The position provides realistic and real-world command chain actions and reactions of synthetic events to assist with the training of personnel to achieve maritime warfare training outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide tactically accurate blue-force and/or red-force professional interactor functions and demonstrate proficiency in military tactics, doctrine and procedures, electronic warfare (EW) tactics and procedures, air space management, naval gunfire support and joint fire missions.
  • Execute and coordinate synthetic training events.
  • Provide input to exercise related pre and post-event documentation.
Requirements
  • Generalist skills to act as a role player, professional interactor.
  • Ability to work unsupervised, assist in the delivery of structured training programs, display personal and professional skills and build sound stakeholder relationships, ability to work under pressure and to tight timeframes, problem-solving skills, be eligible to access sensitive information.
Desirable Skills
  • Knowledge of current military simulation doctrine, tactics and procedures, experience working in a military training environment, comprehension and use of military voice procedures, combat system operator experience or equivalent, RAAF experience as air warfare specialist, understanding of the application and conduct of training systems, exercise development, military communications and C2 systems.
