Exercise Physiologist

A career opportunity exists for an experienced exercise physiologist to join a multidisciplinary team.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing patients with advanced heart failure and prescribing exercise both individually and in a group environment to maintain function and improve quality of life.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assess patients with advanced heart failure and develop individualized exercise programs.
- Prescribe exercise both individually and in a group environment to maintain function and improve quality of life.
- Work collaboratively with the team to provide comprehensive care to patients.
Requirements
- Bachelor or postgraduate degree in an exercise science related field with eligibility for accreditation as an exercise physiologist.
- Demonstrated well-developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with stakeholders.
- Demonstrated computer literacy and ability to use health information systems.
Working Environment
The successful candidate will work based at a hospital but will work across a local health district.
