About the Role

The State of Queensland is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dietitian to join our team at Children's Health Queensland Hospital and Health Service. As a Dietitian, you will play a critical role in delivering quality paediatric dietetics and food services across the continuum of care to patients and families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver tertiary level health services to children and adolescents, providing expert nutrition advice and support to patients and families.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective nutrition plans and programs.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to paediatric nutrition and dietetics.
  • Provide education and training to healthcare professionals and patients on nutrition and dietetics.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research projects to advance the field of paediatric nutrition and dietetics.

Requirements

  • Postgraduate qualification in Dietetics or a related field.
  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Dietitian.
  • Experience working in a paediatric healthcare setting, preferably in a dietetics or nutrition role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
