Casework Coordinator Job Description

Our organization is seeking an experienced Casework Coordinator to join a multi-disciplinary team supporting Aboriginal participants in the Walama List. The successful candidate will work closely with members of the judiciary, stakeholders, and Elders to facilitate referrals, coordinate service provision, and advocate on behalf of participants.

The Casework Coordinator plays a critical role in providing practical supports to Aboriginal participants and their families, updating case plans, attending court sittings, and working closely with caseworkers to share information and coordinate service provision.

  • Provide individualized support to Aboriginal participants and their families to address barriers to participation and completion of the Walama List.
  • Update case plans, attend court sittings, and be available to assist and support Aboriginal participants as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with caseworkers and other stakeholders to share relevant information and coordinate service provision in accordance with Walama List directions.
Requirements for Success

To be considered for this position, candidates must have:

  • Negotiable full-time employment based at Downing Centre or Parramatta Square.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (diploma or higher) in social work, welfare, psychology, criminology, education, or a related field.
  • A current driver's license and willingness to travel across Greater Sydney.
  • Documented verification of Aboriginality.
  • Full vaccination against COVID-19 and ability to provide proof of vaccination status.
