We are seeking an accomplished Professor in Nursing to spearhead innovative programs that prepare graduates to become tomorrow's health leaders and researchers.

  • Drive impactful research, securing competitive grants, leading major projects, and mentoring emerging scholars to achieve excellence;
  • Inspire through innovative teaching, shaping curricula, motivating students, and leading colleagues in best-practice learning and teaching;
  • Build and sustain powerful partnerships locally, nationally, and globally, delivering meaningful outcomes for the academic community;

You will possess:

  • Completion of a doctoral qualification in a relevant field and comprehensive experience as an academic leader;
  • Registration as a nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency;
  • Evidence of involvement in, and impact on, the development of their discipline/field;
  • A clear and coherent research program with: a strong track record of active, sustained and productive engagement in high-quality research; publicly verifiable outputs and outcomes from research; external recognition of research performance and achievement; quality supervision of candidates for Higher Degrees by Research; and impact of research;

To succeed, you will need:

  • Quality research leadership, demonstrated through effective mentoring to develop the research capability and capacity of individual and teams of Early Career Researchers and Early Career Academics;
  • Effectiveness as a teacher, evidenced by both exemplary teaching practice and leadership in teaching, resulting in student engagement and success;

Key attributes include:

  • Positive leadership contributions and personal qualities that influence the development and maintenance of a positive academic environment;
  • Extensive experience and success in academic administrative functions within a University setting;
  • The ability to develop and maintain productive regional, national, and international partnerships that benefit the academic community;

Postgraduate qualifications in higher education are highly desirable.
