Job Overview

The role of a mine production lead is crucial in achieving compliance with the mine plan. As a member of a dedicated team, you will oversee all mine production activities and personnel within your assigned crew.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure that personnel in mining areas are not exposed to hazards.
  • Coach and mentor leading hands and crew members to achieve objectives.
  • Manage leave requirements effectively.
  • Develop action plans for training gaps and conduct employee development programs.
  • Optimize the utilization of the mining fleet to deliver on the mine plan.
  • Ensure accurate completion of statutory and shift-specific documentation.
  • Establish a positive team culture.
  • Participate in interviews for new personnel.

About the Role

This position requires an effective leader with at least 2 years of supervisory experience in a production mining environment. The ideal candidate should possess a high-level understanding of relevant legislation in Western Australia's mining industry.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Restricted Quarry Managers Certificate of Competency.
  • WA 'HR' class drivers' license (minimum).
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Front-line management experience (desired).
  • Demonstrated success as a leader.
  • Application of continuous improvement ideas.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including integrated management systems, word processing, presentation, and spreadsheet applications.
