Mine Production Supervisor

Mining operations supervisors play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of our team. As a key member, you will oversee mine production activities and personnel within your assigned crew to achieve compliance with the mine plan.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct regular inspections to identify hazards and direct mining operations accordingly as a representative of the Quarry Manager.
- Cultivate leadership skills by coaching and mentoring mining leading hands and your assigned crew to achieve objectives.
- Effectively manage leave requirements for a seamless workforce.
- Develop and implement training plans to address employee skill gaps and enhance overall performance.
- Optimize the utilization of the mining fleet to deliver on the mining plan and drive operational efficiency.
- Ensure all necessary statutory and shift-specific documentation is completed in a timely manner.
- Promote a positive team culture through effective communication and collaboration.
- Conduct interviews for new personnel to assess their suitability for the role.
This leadership position requires an experienced supervisor with at least 2 years of supervisory experience in a production mining environment. The ideal candidate will also possess relevant certifications, such as a Restricted Quarry Managers Certificate of Competency and First Aid Certificate, and demonstrate exceptional leadership skills, strong legislation knowledge, and a high level understanding of relevant industry standards.
