As a valued member of our team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the lives of our residents by providing personalized care and support.
About Your Role:
Our Personal Care Assistants work closely with our Registered Nurses to deliver high-quality care that prioritizes the physical, emotional, and lifestyle needs of our residents.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a genuine passion for elderly care, and a commitment to delivering care with compassion and respect.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support residents in maintaining their independence and autonomy.
- Contribute to the overall well-being of our residents, including their physical, emotional, and social needs.
- Implement clinical and care interventions delegated by the Registered Nurses, as documented in the residents' care plans.
- Assist residents with their personal care needs while promoting their dignity and self-worth.
- Prioritize workloads effectively and deliver care with kindness, patience, and understanding.
- Respect residents' privacy, dignity, and choice at all times.
Requirements:
- Experience working with aged care standards and principles.
- A genuine interest in elderly care and a desire to improve the lives of our residents.
- Certificate III in Aged Care/Individual Support.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliability to work flexible shifts and basic computer literacy.
- Working knowledge of WH&S and infection control practices.
- Previous experience in the aged care sector (desired but not essential).
- Current NDIS clearance, Rights to Work, and up-to-date COVID & Flu vaccinations.
- Commitment to ongoing quality improvement.
