We're looking for a results-driven leader to oversee our safety, health, and environment (SHE) functions across Oceania.

This is an exceptional opportunity to join our senior leadership team and drive our SHE initiatives forward.

  • You'll be responsible for creating a safe, healthy, and sustainable work environment.
  • You'll lead and manage our SHE programs and initiatives, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and best practices.
  • You'll collaborate with various stakeholders, including employees, managers, contractors, customers, suppliers, regulators, and community groups.
A Day in the Life...

In this role, you'll report to the Director, Technical & Production, and have key responsibilities including:

  • Developing and implementing SHE strategies, policies, and standards that align with our vision, mission, and values.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices, as well as fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
  • Leading a team of SHE professionals and collaborating with various stakeholders, including employees, managers, contractors, customers, suppliers, regulators, and community groups.
  • Monitoring and reporting on SHE performance, risks, and opportunities, and driving corrective and preventive actions as needed.
What Will Make You Successful
  • You'll be a strong leader with a history of delivering results in a high-pressure and dynamic environment.
  • You'll hold a Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field, such as engineering, science, occupational health and safety, environmental management, or related discipline.
  • You'll have at least 10 years of experience in SHE management, preferably in a manufacturing, industrial, or engineering environment.
  • You'll demonstrate leadership, communication, influencing, and problem-solving skills.
  • You'll have proven ability to develop and implement SHE strategies, policies, and standards that support business objectives and stakeholder expectations.
  • You'll have sound knowledge of SHE legislation, regulations, and best practices, as well as emerging trends and issues.
  • You'll have experience in managing SHE audits, inspections, investigations, and incident response.
  • You'll have experience in leading and developing SHE teams and fostering a positive and collaborative work culture.
