Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Yara International. As a Static Equipment Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the availability and optimum operation of our plant equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide mechanical engineering support for plant equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Conduct thorough equipment failure analysis to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, practices, and standards during maintenance activities.
- Coordinate and implement Maintenance of Change (MOC) procedures.
- Verify equipment data accuracy in our SAP system.
- Develop and publish Work Procedures for Static Equipment maintenance, repair, and modification.
- Supervise overhauls and projects for Static Equipment, ensuring quality and adherence to Inspection and Test Plans.
- Provide expert advice to Yara personnel on Static Equipment matters.
- Ensure compliance with Yara's Technical Operating Procedures and Industry Best Practices for Static Equipment.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis and publish reports on static equipment failures.
- Collaborate with Inspection Engineers to implement findings of Risk-Based Inspection Methodology on Static Equipment.
- Develop and deliver training programs for Engineers and Technicians on Static Equipment Reliability and Maintenance.
- Assist the SAP Specialist in optimizing maintenance and spares data.
- Manage critical spares for Static Equipment, ensuring availability and quality.
- Ensure timely progression of MOC and Synergi actions.
- Identify problem areas and analyze performance trends, contributing to forward planning.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Full membership of the Institute of Engineers, Australia (MIAust).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar industry as a Static Equipment Engineer (Petrochemical, Gas Processing, or Oil Refining).
- Strong SAP skills and Intermediate/Advanced MS Office suite experience.
- Certifications related to inspection of static equipment are highly regarded.
- Fluent English (verbal and written) is essential.
