Job Title: Lead Electrical Engineer

The ideal candidate will have significant electrical and instrumentation design experience, including preliminary and detailed engineering.

About the Role
  • Develop electrical and instrumentation designs for high-voltage (HV), low-voltage (LV), and extra-low-voltage (ELV) power distribution systems.
  • Design HV and LV motor control centers and substations.
  • Create comprehensive design documentation, including equipment specifications, operation and maintenance manuals, tender documents, cost estimates, hours to complete estimates, and project schedules.
  • Select and recommend equipment and services supply packages, including HV switchgear, power transformers, motor control centers, variable frequency drives, uninterruptible power supplies, generators, and sensing instruments.
  • Supervise assigned work groups, provide technical guidance, and support report preparation.
  • Motivate team members to achieve superior performance through mentoring and training.
  • Effectively communicate with clients and project teams.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Engineering degree (RPEQ required).
  • Experience with Hexagon Smartplant software.
  • Significant electrical and instrumentation design experience.
  • Study, FEED, and detailed engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of multi-discipline engineering principles.
  • Previous project lead experience on large capital mining projects.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
