Mechanical Equipment Specialist

The role involves overseeing the upkeep of systems, plant and equipment as a mechanical technician. Working 9 day fortnights from 7am to 3:40pm, you will assess, diagnose and repair root cause issues with mechanical systems, plant and equipment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out corrective and preventative maintenance on mechanical systems, plant and equipment.
- Assisting the Maintenance Engineer with planning, scheduling and conduct of major work.
- Working on different types of mechanical equipment including pumps, air handling units, boilers, cooling towers and heat exchangers.
- Conducting inspections and providing general maintenance solutions to improve plant equipment availability and reliability.
Requirements include:
- Indentured qualification as a Mechanical Technician/Fitter & Turner or similar trade qualification.
- Experience in trouble shooting, fabrication and general maintenance activities.
- Commitment to Occupational Health, Safety and Environment.
- Flexibility in working hours to meet our needs, including shift patterns and being available after hours to support manufacturing.
