Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Consultant to lead and deliver expert clinical leadership in the provision and coordination of contemporary, person-centred care delivered in a clinical specialty within a dynamic health environment at an advanced level based on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia- Registered Nurse Standards of Practice.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing high-quality, safe services and workplaces by adhering to defined service quality standards, health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Fulfilling the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Schedule 2, Nurses and Midwives (Queensland Health Award) - State Generic Level Statements Nurse Grade 7 and the Queensland Public Service values.
  • Understanding their broad responsibilities for safety and quality in healthcare, actively participating in continuous quality and safety improvement activities within the workplace, and notifying a relevant clinical or non-clinical responsible officer when concerns exist about workplace or patient safety.
