Job Opportunity:

The Research Associate position is an exciting opportunity to support research services and develop innovative research within the Population Child Health research group.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide statistical and epidemiological support for intervention-based studies and grant applications, utilizing skills in data analysis and interpretation.
  • Conduct research activities, including surveys, literature reviews, data collection, and recording results using appropriate research methods.
  • Support the dissemination of research outcomes through suitable channels and present at conferences and/or workshops, enhancing collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Essential Qualifications:
  • A PhD in Epidemiology/Statistics or a related field, demonstrating expertise in research methodologies.
  • Proficiency in statistical software, preferably R, SAS, and/or Stata, with experience working with large data sets and trials design and evaluation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively across disciplines, building effective relationships and communicating complex ideas effectively.
  • Ability to conduct high-quality academic research and undertake independent research with limited supervision, exercising initiative and autonomy.
Requirements:
