Upper Primary Teacher Position

We are seeking an experienced and passionate educator to join our upper primary team as a teacher for years 5-6.

About the Role

The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering high-impact teaching and learning programs for students in years 5 and 6, aligned with the Western Australian Curriculum. They will also plan and lead our Specialist Physical Education program, including whole-school sports carnivals, incursions, excursions, and coordination of grants and resources.

In addition, they will implement targeted physical development programs, including the Fundamental Movement Skills program, Perceptual Motor Program, and support for whole-school physical wellbeing. The role also includes coordinating and leading key upper primary experiences, including the Year 6 Camp, Graduation, and student leadership opportunities.

We are looking for an applicant who has knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum, particularly in the Years 5–6 phase of development. A strong understanding of child development, growth and wellbeing needs in upper primary students is also essential.

The ideal candidate will have the capacity to apply Cognitive Load Theory, explicit instruction, and inquiry-based learning to engage diverse learners. Proven ability to design and implement inclusive PE programs and whole-school events is also required.
