Job Description

We are seeking an experienced professional to provide case management services to ensure long-term stability, security, safety, and development needs are met for children in statutory kinship care arrangements.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated ability to effectively engage with children, young people, and their kinship families, understanding inter-generational factors and complex relationships between extended family members impacting kinship placements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide case management services to children in statutory kinship care arrangements.
  • Enhance and build on available formal and informal family and community supports for children living in kinship placements.
  • Assist families to provide the best possible care arrangement for children unable to safely live with their birth parents.
  • Work in accordance with Home based care program requirements, CYFA 2005 & statutory case management requirements, in partnership with child protection.
Requirements

A Diploma in Psychology, Social Work, Youth Work or relevant field with intermediate experience is required.

Experience working with children, young people, and families through an attachment and trauma-based lens is essential.
