We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Account Manager to join our successful team, where you will be responsible for the overall relationship management of our major mining customers.
In this role, you will ensure that our business is seen as a strategic partner with both our internal departments and stakeholders to achieve our agreed targets with respect to budget KPIs, machine reliability, and supply chain KPIs.
Reporting to the Regional General Manager – Northern Region and working closely with other General Managers, you will be responsible for:
- To conduct your duties in a safe and responsible manner, complying with all general health and safety duties with respect to our branch and site operations.
- In conjunction with business managers, develop and implement strategies to drive business growth within your relevant mining accounts.
- To manage and develop your customers by becoming a trusted partner, providing an added-value service with the assistance of our support network group.
- Addressing and resolving support issues and disputes in a timely and professional manner.
- Assisting Hitachi stakeholders and our customers to escalate and address product support/fleet issues that cannot be resolved at a site level.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience in managing a business unit within the construction or mining industry.
- Exposure to managing large corporate accounts, including negotiating commercial contracts.
- Proven relationship-building skills, including high-level written and oral communication.
- Relevant mechanical or electrical trade qualifications, with further tertiary qualifications in management, marketing, or a related field.
