Job Opportunity

A highly skilled and experienced Trainer and Assessor is required to deliver training, assessment, and student services for a Certificate III in Painting and Decorating course.

This role offers a dynamic environment where you can utilize your skills to motivate and encourage others. Your expertise in training planning, delivery, and assessment will be invaluable to our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering high-quality training, assessment, and student services that meet the individual needs of students and maximize outcomes.
  • Designing and developing training and assessment tools, resources, and materials that comply with relevant Training Packages and regulatory requirements.
  • Conducting assessments and making decisions in accordance with principles of assessment and rules of evidence.
  • Validating, moderating, and improving assessment tools and processes, and moderating assessment decisions.
  • Maintaining accurate records of student performance and attendance, and reporting on absences or inconsistent attendance.
  • Participating in meetings and appointments related to student performance, assessment, and organizational compliance.
  • Staying current with industry skills and knowledge through ongoing professional development.
  • Complying with governing legislation and regulations, including work health and safety, anti-discrimination, and privacy.
  • Providing regular feedback and updates on experiences as a Trainer and Assessor.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • TAE40116/TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
  • CPC30620 Certificate III in Painting and Decorating.
  • Industry experience and currency in relevant areas.
  • Recent experience in both training and assessment for the relevant industry.
  • Experience working with international students.
  • Expertise in training planning, delivery, and assessment.
  • Excellent time management and communication skills.
  • Accurate report writing and record-keeping.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Additional experience and qualifications in the relevant industry are highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of training packages and compliance requirements is an advantage.
