Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journalist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality news, interviews, and feature stories across linear and digital platforms.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, research, write, edit, and produce engaging content that showcases First Nations voices and perspectives.
  • BUILD AND MAINTAIN STRONG NETWORKS WITH INDIGENOUS COMMUNITIES AND ORGANISATIONS ACROSS THE COUNTRY.
  • TRAVEL FOR BREAKING NEWS COVERAGE AND SIGNIFICANT EVENTS AS REQUIRED.

RequirementsEssential Skills and Qualifications
  • Advanced communication skills and proven experience in journalism and/or media broadcasting.
  • Understanding of camera, sound, and editing systems is highly valued.
  • Deep understanding of Indigenous Cultural Protocol and ability to communicate sensitively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
  • Able to work as part of a small team with a positive attitude; able to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Willing to travel for breaking news coverage and significant events.
