The role of a Clinical SME is critical in healthcare to embed clinical insight into data-driven health solutions. The position requires a strong understanding of clinical interoperability standards and experience with digital health platforms.

This job involves working with clinicians, technology partners, and digital product squads to ensure the design and delivery of connected, data-driven health solutions are safe, usable, and integrate interoperability from the outset.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clinical-Technical Translation: Translate clinical needs into digital solution requirements to align with real-world care workflows.
  • Interoperability & Standards: Advise on digital health interoperability standards and integration of clinical systems.
  • Digital Product & Solution Design: Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to shape digital tools and validate clinical functionality.
  • Clinical Governance & Data Integrity: Ensure solutions meet clinical governance, privacy, and regulatory standards.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration: Liaise between internal teams and external tech partners to deliver pragmatic, user-centred solutions.

Requirements for this position include being an AHPRA-registered health professional with recent or current clinical experience. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are also necessary to translate complex concepts across disciplines.
