About the Role

As a Hydrographic Survey Officer with the New Zealand Defence Force, you will play a critical role in supporting the Navy's operations at sea. Your primary responsibility will be to lead teams undertaking survey work in support of various tasks, including beach landings and identifying routes through minefields.

Career Progression and Training

As a Hydrographic Survey Officer, you will undergo comprehensive training to develop your skills as a leader, mariner, and surveyor. You will be trained in various aspects of military hydrography, including navigation, bridgemanship, and warfare skills. Requirements and Eligibility

To be eligible for this role, you must meet the minimum entry requirements, including a NCEA Level 2 certificate, be medically fit for service, and meet the minimum entry fitness standards. You must also be a citizen of New Zealand and be free of any criminal convictions.
