The Project Manager will be working in the Business Enablement Team, CIO Branch of the Department. This role is more business-focused, with a strong emphasis on delivering project outcomes within schedule, financial, and quality parameters.
Key Responsibilities- Project Definition and Management: Definition and management of project deliverables, schedule, benefits, financials, risks, issues, and dependencies, including liaison with relevant suppliers, in alignment with the Department's Project Management Framework.
- Project Delivery: Delivery of project outcomes within schedule, financial, and quality parameters, contributing to the overarching program outcomes and objectives.
- Team Leadership: Leading and managing the project team, including reviewing and the work of other project team members and suppliers, and ensuring that appropriate standards are applied to the project's outputs.
- Business Change Management: Managing business change and implementation activities, including user acceptance and business verification testing, change, training, and communications activities, and rollout planning and execution.
- Stakeholder Management: Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to manage expectations and dependencies to ensure successful delivery of projects.
- Reporting and Communication: Preparing regular project status reports and presenting status reports to the project board and other executive stakeholders.
The successful candidate will be offered an EL1 hourly rate contract, notionally a 12-month opportunity, with a view to extend. This position is based in Canberra.
As this role is with the Federal Government, only Australian citizens who hold a baseline clearance or a willingness to obtain will be considered for this vacancy.
