About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Project Director to lead our team in delivering large-scale government projects with a strong focus on ICT and design.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex projects, leading teams, and providing strategic advice to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure project deliverables and milestones are met on time and within budget.
  • Lead and manage staff, overseeing performance, attendance, and health and wellbeing.
  • Develop staff capability through coaching and succession planning.
  • Provide high-level strategic advice and feedback to stakeholders and the executive.
  • Report on project objectives and outputs for presentation to the executive.
  • Oversee project reporting, financial budgets, and contract management.
  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks, issues, and benefits.
  • Drive innovation, manage change, and contribute to the agency's strategic direction.
  • Engage with key stakeholders to deliver projects and respond to changes in needs and expectations.

Essential Criteria

  • Previous experience in managing large government projects with a strong background in ICT and design.
  • Experience in leading teams and providing strategic advice to stakeholders.
  • Strong project management skills, including budgeting, risk management, and quality assurance.
  • Ability to develop and implement project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
